VENDING MACHINE/REGAINS
Okay, so what's this thing? ↴
When do we get coins? ↴
What's in it for me? ↴
What's this about renewable items? ↴
I got an item that isn't mine - what do I do with it? ↴
Can we stack coins to help our odds? ↴
Do our coins expire? ↴
Can we use our coins to opt out of death rolls? ↴
The vending machine near the foyer is a bit of an old, rickety thing, but it seems to be in working order - and perhaps most importantly, it contains your stuff. ICly, characters will be rewarded for bonding with one another; these rewards come in the form of coins left in their room, somewhere that they'll be easily found. After that, it's just a matter of going over to the machine, sticking coins in and letting prizes fall out. Simple!
When do we get coins? ↴
Coins are awarded for every 20-comment thread (10 comments per person) submitted here. Any threads between two player characters that do not take place during investigations, trials and motive announcements are eligible for a coin. Threads with mod NPCs are eligible for coins as well, but the one caveat to this is that private conversations and texts do not count – the thread must take place in public.
What's in it for me? ↴
Glad you asked! We asked all of you to put five regains down on your app; this is where you have the chance to get them back. Of course, since nothing can ever be easy for anyone, RNG gets to decide how quickly that happens...
Furthermore, there's also a chance that the regain you get back won't necessarily be yours. That's also a distinct possibility that we won't deny. Good thing you're on such good terms with everyone here, right?
The percentages shake down something like this: You have a 10% chance of getting a regain – either yours or someone else's, every time you roll. There's an 80% chance you'll get something random. As for the remaining 10%...well. You'll have to roll and see what that remaining percentage might contain, won't you?

What's this about renewable items? ↴
One out of your five items can be renewable – that is, they have the potential to fall out of the machine more than one time. They can be consumable things like food, candy, liquor or cigarettes; they can also be things like yarn, socks, underwear, stuffed toys, whatever you like!
I got an item that isn't mine - what do I do with it? ↴
Whatever your character would do with it! Give it back, eat it, wear it, set it on fire, whatever you want. You might want to work it out with whomever it belongs to, but...really, it's your choice.
Can we stack coins to help our odds? ↴
Unfortunately, no. I mean, if you have a surplus of them and you want to shove them in the machine all willy-nilly then no one's going to stop you, but it's not going to increase your chances of getting a regain. But maybe you'll be rewarded for jamming in twenty at once, who knows! ...Or maybe you'll just screw up the machine, because it's old. But you'll never know until you try, right?
Do our coins expire? ↴
You can redeem your coins whenever you want; in other words, the threads you submit don't have to all be from the current week!
Can we use our coins to opt out of death rolls? ↴
That, my friends, would be bribery, and it's highly frowned upon by the Coordinators. If you can't be present for a given week that you've been selected to die, you can ask the mods to reschedule, but there are no true opt-outs or safety nets of that sort.

CONGRATULATIONS
1 - 058. Sheer Heart Attack
A vinyl copy of the actual Queen album.
2 - Dirty Teddy Bear
A grungy-looking teddy bear that doesn’t have any use here.
3 - 055. Burned CD
A gift from Tabby. A plain CD with "AWESOME THEME SONG" written on it in Sharpie. Too bad you can't play it.
4 - 067. Red Eye
A glass eye that depicts a red pupil within it's center. Red eyes are rare and only often seen in albinism, or if you happen to be an anime character.
5 - 061. Megaphone
A bright red megaphone that amplifies your voice! Some gunners have tried to use this as a weapon even though it really is just a normal megaphone.
6 - 013. Special Gel
A gift from Estelle. A gummi type medicine. Recovers all HP and TP. Very useful, but rare and limited in numbers. Usable in battle. It’s useless here, unfortunately.
7 - Ribbons
Suitable for making hair ribbons, or for an arts and crafts project. These two are purple!
8 - 079. Evidence Law
A book that outlines evidence law in… the United States? We’re pretty sure this isn’t how it actually works in the United States. The cover has a chick in a deerstalker cap, though, which is cute as hell.
9 - 046. Time Bomb
A gift from Kimblee. A wristwatch with a distinctive face and apparatus attached to it. Once attached to someone, it can't be removed until the sixty-second timer runs down, at which point it...does this, because of course it does.
10 - Wedding Picture
This totally-not-photoshopped-at-all wedding photo sure is beautiful!
